Job Loss Grief Processing Circle

Hi there! So glad you found this space.

Losing a job can feel so destabilizing and isolating. Whether it was sudden or expected, whether you saw it coming or it blindsided you—the grief that comes with job loss is real. The loss of routine, identity, community, financial security, and purpose can shake us to our core.

Take heart: you're not alone in this. What you're feeling matters, and there's space here to be witnessed exactly as you are.

What This Circle Is:
This is a safe, peer-led space for those who have recently experienced job loss and are looking for connection and support with others going through a similar experience. We gather to witness each other's experiences, share what's true, and remember we're not alone in hard transitions.

Real Talk About Grief Work
Processing grief brings up big feelings—sadness, anger, vulnerability. Hearing others' stories can trigger your own pain. You might feel worse before you feel better. That's normal. But if feelings become overwhelming, please reach out to a therapist.

IF YOU'RE IN CRISIS: If you're having thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out before joining:
Text or call 988 (24/7)
Text HOME to 741741
Call 911 if in immediate danger

Our 6 Ground Rules
Confidentiality - What's shared stays here
No Fixing - We witness, not solve
Right to Pass - Never required to share
This Isn't Therapy - We'll share resources if you need clinical support
No Hierarchy of Pain - All grief is valid
We All Hold the Container - On time, muted when not speaking, self-care when needed

This Circle Is Free
I only ask that if it helps you, consider supporting this effort through a donation and/or a LinkedIn recommendation and connection to hiring managers for operations, program, and project roles.

About Me
I'm a fellow job seeker who's lived through loss and grief, creating space for others in hard transitions.

What I'm Not
I'm not a therapist or counselor. This isn't therapy, crisis intervention, or medical advice. It's not a substitute for professional care, and it's not career coaching. Just humans holding space for other humans.

About Liminal Living
This is peer support through Liminal Living, a nonprofit I founded as a ministry after my partner and I both had near-death experiences in 2023.

If the fact that I'm doing this through my registered nonprofit ministry aspect changes your desire to attend, that's completely okay. No explanation needed.
