This is a 1-to-1 lesson, so that you get the undivided attention of your coach.
Taster sessions are for those who have never tried angling, but would like to have a go.
- The aim of this session is simply to experience catching your first fish, without going into too much detail of the hows and whys.
- All bait and equipment for the lesson are provided.
- Price is per person.
- Juniors must be over 6 years of age and accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Children over 12 and adults will need an Environment Agency Rod Fishing Licence. Details will be provided, and can be arranged on the day.

Swim Feeder Fishing
Swim Feeder Fishing Lesson 1 hour
This is a 1-to-1 lesson, so that you get the undivided attention of your coach.
This lesson teaches a method that can be used for fishing on still or moving water with a rod and a fixed spool reel. It employs a technique where the bait is typically anchored to the lake or river bed. It uses a swim feeder to deliver fish attractants close to your baited rig. It will also cover the differences in the types of feeders used and what baits work with the different feeders. The lesson also covers a range of bite detection methods that can be used in different situations.

Ledger Fishing
Ledger Fishing Lesson 1 hour

This lesson teaches a method that can be used for fishing on still or moving water with a rod and a fixed spool reel. It employs a technique where the bait is typically anchored to the lake or river bed. There are a variety of ways to attach weights to your line to give bait presentation options. The lesson also covers a range of bite detection methods that can be used in different situations.

Waggler Float Fishing
Waggler Float Fishing Lesson 1 hour
This is a 1-to-1 lesson, so that you get the undivided attention of your coach.
This lesson teaches fishing on still water or canals with a rod and fixed spool reel using a waggler float. This method allows you to cover different areas of water in search of fish. The lesson will also cover the differences in the rigs used and various casting methods.

Stick Float Fishing
Stick Float Fishing Lesson 1 hour
This is a 1-to-1 lesson, so that you get the undivided attention of your coach.
This lesson teaches fishing flowing water, rivers and some canals with a rod and fixed spool reel or centre pin reel, using stick floats. This method allows you to search out different areas of river in search of fish. It will also cover the differences in the rigs used. Wellies are advised, as you may be standing in shallow water.

Group Fishing Taster Lesson - Up to 4 people
Group Fishing Taster Lesson 2 hours
This is a group lesson for up to 4 people. Friends or family group.
Taster sessions are for those who have never tried angling, but would like to have a go.
Enjoy a bonding experience whilst learning new skills in the great outdoors.
For larger groups, please ask how we might be able to accommodate you.
After a safety briefing, you will be introduced to fishing with a short whip/pole and a simple float rig.
